My name is Lisa and I am the creator of Women Scoot. I wanted to put something fun together for us gals who ride scooters. Riding alone is fine, but together is way more fun in my opinion. Here is how this all came about:
I grew up in San Jose, California and was raised on motorcycles. I've owned a handful over the years and since my last one, I realized that I don't want to shift gears anymore, I just wanna go and enjoy the sites and not be distracted by shifting. When I did own a motorcycle I had the opportunity to participate in two large runs, one was the MS ride and one was for Diabetes. Both rides really got me interested in group riding. There is something really special about riding together, as a pack, a team, each one of us looking out for the other. So two wheels has always been on my mind and was further exaserbated by my dear friend Sarah who started coming to work on her Genuine Buddy 150. Seeing her and what with the gas prcies and all, it seemed like an easy purchase to justify! And here we are!
I am very open to any ideas, advice and suggestions you may have in regards to this site. I am very open minded and accomodating and damn it, I just want to have fun! The biggest obstacle in the beginning will be to get the name out there and gather the scooter troops, so please pass this website along to friends and family!
On the personal side, I live in Eagan, MN, have a gorgeous son and wonderful partner and work for Fairview Health Services. I hope to get the most out of my life for the sort period we are here. I am into reading, personal growth, spirituality, adventure and exploration and I prefer to all of that with my family and friends!
